david_mcclymontDavid McClymont brings a wealth of expertise to the Palm Beach Symphony where he is the newly appointed Executive Director.

Formerly serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) in Juno Beach, Florida, McClymont led an organization known world-wide for its role in conserving the oceans and their endangered species, and locally for Palm Beach County tourism. He focused on improving the organization’s fundraising programs, building efficiencies, and reducing staff and volunteer turnover.

Under his direction, LMC’s core competencies were elevated through large-scale, strategic alliances with Conservation International, Earth Day Network, National Geographic, Sea Turtle Conservancy, The University of Miami, Vineyard Vines, Palm Beach County School District, and Florida Weekly. He also worked to secure land and support for the organization’s future expansion.

McClymont’s inspirational leadership and program success has spilled over into the community with his dedication to many nonprofit fundraising efforts including: American Cancer Society Board Member; Susan G. Komen Golf Tournament Chairman; Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Logistics Chair; Legal Aid Society Golf Tournament Board Member; C-Different Foundation; White Party for JTAA and Make-A-Wish Foundation. Additionally, McClymont initiated the Shawn King Fund raising $50,000 to send the step-son of a former employee to MD Anderson to battle cancer.

Aside from work, McClymont is an avid sportsman and completed the Iron Man Competition. He enjoys competitive surfing and triathlons and is the proud father of three children. He was born and raised in South Florida.
